Home Grown Art
In his spare time, Ben loves to paint, as you may know.  You may have even been to his other website, a collaboration with his friend Pete in Colorado, called Dude Planet.  Recently he has been working on paintings for Roman's room.   Here they are!

Note: If you are interested in a print, T-shirt, mug, or any other interesting item to have a painting on, the main paintings are "clickable" and will take you to their location at Ben's storefront at CafePress.   Suggestions are welcome!
Paintings for Roman's Room
"Ship of Moos"
This one started as a tiny pencil sketch Ben did on a piece of scrap paper, and Ben decided he had to paint it.   It took him about four sessions of 1-4 hours apiece to "finish" it.  He is still critical!!
Size: 24" x 36"  Canvas       Medium:  Acrylic       Completed:  July 2006
"MOOnjumper"
Meant to be Ben's "Moosterpiece", this one just ended up being a lot of fun.  Ben thought he was done, but Jenny said it needed more cows.  The result ?  Now there are more cows.
Size: 32" x 48"  Canvas        Medium:  Acrylic        Completed:  August 2006

There are a lot more paintings on display at DudePlanet.com, though not of the same nature.  Ben's store front also includes a few of those, as well as some of his friend Pete's stuff.
DudePlanet: The World's All-Original Online Dude Source!
Some of Ben's older paintings that were done in Nashville are below, although they weren't as exciting to make  as the ones he's doing now (for Roman).
Chateau des Arbres 2004
Modern Love 2004
Note: the idea for this painting was inspired by a similar painted scene Ben saw on the internet!
Ichabod's Vision I & II 2004
Two paintings, one name.
Moonscape Lounge 2004
Now hanging on friend Amber's wall in Atlanta, Georgia
"Moo'n Landing"
Borne from an idea from our neighbor, this one sat in our dining room as a lonely painting of the earth and moon for about two months before the cow actually made his landing...  But it's finally done!
Size: 24" x 36"  Canvas       Medium:  Acrylic       Completed:  September 2006
